Break The Vibe

Break The Vibe : The new Electro House single from silverfilter. Out April 17, 2013 on Beatport with a remix from Deeflash

Break_the_vibe
"The title speaks for itself. Break The Vibe really does throw you off in a good way once you bring in this tune on the dance floor as it unashamedly turns itself into a triplet banger after leading you to think it was your typical four to the floor tune. Don't worry, it brings you back to the vibe in the end.

The remix, brought in by Deeflash, is a different beast entirely as it turns the original into a techno crawler complete with 303-style licks."

Square One

As some of you may know, I jumped back into DJing and started on square one with my collection. I'll be working my way back since I have a ton of music to rip in my collection to include the classics. But currently, I just went straight and shopped for fresh tunes.

I noticed however, in my past few gigs, that I ended up buying mostly bangers or stuff more on the higher end of the groove scale that I didn't have enough steady tunes to warm the set up a bit more especially if I do long sets already. So now, I've been trying to add up on the steady tunes. I guess for my close friends who know me, I just got so used to doing my live sets banging that when I shopped, I ended up getting a little bit more of the same feel.

It's been a fun time of music discovery and I guess with the way DJs scout for music, it's one of those things us producers tend to miss out from time to time since we're mostly busy making tunes so I think a perfect balance between DJing and producing would be nice as the constant flow of new music inspires us and keeps us on our toes.
